I enjoyed this book. It had a different storyline to it. I would have liked to see a more detailed ending, but maybe there is another
book that carried from where this leaves off. I would recommend this book, it was a good read.
I liked the main female character very much. The romance was well written and the plot progressed with a lot of action and hijinks.
Totally understood why Gabby had to do what she had set out to do, and when "Marcus" entered the picture, it became so deliciously scandalous, and I could not put the book down. I was left reading and finding out when these two would be found out - Love it!!!
At a time of war, some times you find happiness. This story has love of family, sacrifice and a strong will of doing the right thing. I love how strong yet caring the author makes the women in her stories...sometimes the descriptions of the scenes is a little long, but the story line is great...
Richards does it again. I admit that I was more than curious about how Robards planned to untie all the various knots she'd made in this story. The result is a believable story with a hero who gives up information about himself with an showstopper, and a heroine lucky enough to pry it out of him. A nicely done book that escapes most of the predictability of this genre.
Gosh it is so much fun to read Robards story's, she is the best. This book kept me totally in its thrall. Wow. If you have followed Ms. Robards through the years and remember her early stuff it is good to see her back doing what she does best, writing historical s. Now I am counting my coins to see if I can get book number 2. I AM IN LOVE AND I WANT A MAN LIKE NICK. ;)
