This novella is not written by an adult. I refuse to accept that it is. The characters are standard boring and childish. Seriously? Laughing when someone falls out of a tree and breaks his back? Or... when someone calls you a name you go no.. take that back???? What's next? Sticking out your tongue? The sex was lame. The behaviour adolescent. No sensuality whatsoever. The language was ya interspersed with the odd intelligent word in the hopes of duping the readers. Ps enigma means riddle... there is nothing romantic or complementary about it. A twenty two year old spending a summer in the woods dropping spiderwebbed branches? If this author is underage than I applaud it, if this is truly an adult than work needs to be done.

I'm not exactly sure what it was she wanted to do for herself at the end, but I'm glad it was something they did together. A nice, confusing, dramatic, sweet love story that could have gone so many ways.
I have to say I am not big on reading, in fact rarely do I ever actually pick up a book and read but this book just grabbed me from the first chapter! I was intrigued with every word written even though there was a few typos but all in all I love loved this book and it has inspired me to read more! Thank you!

I could say so much more about this book but really what sums it up is I never wanted it to end I wanted it to keep going that how well written it was. Even if the ending did suffice this book it was just too good to end keep up the writing whoever you are. I want to read more!
Bought this for my wife, she read exhorts from If I stay and she told me this was not the one she was reading, I did not know there were so many books with the same title but just different authors, and see was wanting the one by Gayle Forman.
Not very well written or edited. So many errors. Glad I only paid $2 for it.

Though it is about a college student falling for her professor (conviently only 4 years between them if I remember their ages correctly), it read more like a teen romance.
When going to purchase a book with the same title, I accidentally purchased this one. I decided to take a leap of faith and read this one first. I stayed up until 4 o'clock in the morning unable to put it down. This now in my top give favorite books and I am an avid reader. The love story, the inability to have what should be yours, and the hilarity a side-kick best friend can provide are what make this book. I will admit, there are some grammatical issues but if you look past them you will witness the unfurling of a sweet romance. I definitely will read this for a third and fourth and fifth time, wanting a love like this.
Reading this book was like walking through an art gallery in words. Reeves creates such beautiful pictures in If I Stay, you almost don't want it to end. It's not an entirely melancholy story, but not a sappy one, either. It merges the angst ridden romances and bubble gum sweet stories into something quite lovely. The only reason I gave this four stars are the grammatical and spelling errors. Otherwise, it's amazing.
